This elegant IWC Portugieser Automatic watch Features a broad 42.3mm diameter and sits proudly on the wrist thanks to its traditional yet stylish black alligator leather strap. Despite the two sub-counters at 3 and 9 o’clock to display power reserve information and hacking seconds respectively –  the dial remains remarkably uncluttered. A date window sits at 6 o’clock, dressed against a blue dial so as not to stray too far from the watch’s classic aesthetic . The IWC Portugieser Automatic watch is powered via an in-house developed calibre 52010 that can be admired through a crisp sapphire crystal glass exhibition case. The movement has been decorated with 31 jewels, a Breguet spring and an 18ct red gold medallion rotor. The wearer can enjoy a subtle splash of colour seen in the last remaining day of the power reserve display at 3 o’clock.
