Impressive are the AOPA wings, symbol of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the largest pilots’ club in the world, which in the 1950s chose the Navitimer as its official watch at 12 o’clock. The technical excellence of this model is achieved through the chronograph, which includes the elegant red central second hand; black sub-dial for 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock; black 12-hour counter sub-dial at 6 o’clock. The functionality of the watch is enhanced by the typical circular slide rule, allowing pilots to perform all necessary flight calculations. The watch also has a black second’s sub-dial at 9 o’clock and a date indicator at 6 o’clock. The dial is covered with a domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The transparent sapphire crystal case back reveals the mesmerizing operation of the movement. It is engraved with “One of the 747” and the phrase “The Original Jumbo Jet,” paying tribute to the plane that opened the skies and changed the way we travel. The watch features a bi-directional fluted Stainless steel bezel with a scalloped profile for easy grip.
