The reference time is displayed in 24-hour format on an off-center dial, while the local time is read using the normal central hands. The annual calendar, named Saros, is powered by a patented mechanism and features an innovative display: the months of the year are shown in 12 windows around the circumference of the dial, behind the hour marker – the current month is displayed in red. The instantaneous date change is related to local time. The ribbed, easy-to-grip Triplock 18k Yellow Gold screw-down crown features a triple water-resistance system in and Rolex logo decorated. The dial is covered with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and Cyclops lens at the 3 o’clock position. The fluted bezel in 18k Yellow Gold is a true hallmark of Rolex. Bidirectional rotatable, it is part of the Ring Command system and, when interacting with the crown, allows the user to select watch functions one by one and adjust them easily, quickly and simply. The model is powered by the innovative in-house Rolex mechanical movement, caliber 9002, contains 29 jewels and has an approximate power reserve of approximately 72 hours. This delightful timepiece is presented on an Oyster bracelet with one-piece three-piece links in 18k Yellow Gold. Thanks to the new hidden fastening system under the bezel, there is a perfect visual continuity between the bracelet and the case. The bracelet features an 18k Yellow Gold Oysterclasp folding clasp with Rolex’s original Easylink patented quick extension system of approximately 5mm for added comfort in all circumstances.
