The Portugieser Automatic watch from IWC Schaffhausen is inspired by an original timepiece designed by the company back in the 1930s – the ref: 325. It featured a simplified and pared-down dial design. This model, which spans a total of 40mm across the wrist Features a deep, mesmerising blue dial adorned with polished Arabic numeral hour markers and a set of slender central hour and minute hands. The well-proportioned dial Features the instantly recognisable IWC Schaffhausen lettering at 12 o’clock, balanced by a small second sub-dial located at 6 o’clock. The men’s IWC Portugieser Automatic watch is powered by the Calibre 82200, which provides a useful 60-hour power reserve. The maliciously designed engine comprises a total of 189 components, 31 jewels and Cotes de Geneve decoration – all of which can be admired through a sapphire-backed case. The movement Features the Pallaton winding spring, with virtually wear-resistant components. The IWC Portugieser watch is completed on a classic black alligator leather strap with a stainless steel pin buckle fastening.
