The new 2023 product from Hublot has delighted fans of the work of Maxime Plescia-Buchi, who translates the language of his geometric tattoos into an explosive 3D sculptural composition of futuristic watches. A stunning combination of three-dimensional geometric shapes in black ceramic gives the barrel-shaped case a new identity: the elongated bezel and case form a striking diamond structure – Buchi’s signature geometric shape. It consists of many individual geometric parts – hexagons, diamonds and triangles – skillfully combined into a single piece. In addition to the 3D effect, the faceted components rise, fall, are highlighted by vertical matte finishes, and polished surfaces. The complex design of the case is fully matched by a sapphire crystal dial with a skeletonized signature Buchi diamond structure in the center: a large diamond-shaped hand with Super-LumiNova indicates the hours, and a smaller one indicates the minutes. The dodecagonal sapphire crystal has a minute track with Arabic numerals every 5 minutes, and towards the center, there is a black 10-sided track with hour markers printed in Arabic numerals. The chronograph includes a thin, large central seconds hand, as well as two subdials with diamond-shaped hands (as far as hands can be called) showing a small seconds at 9 o’clock and a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock. He is controlled by polished titanium pushers at the 2 and 4 o’clock positions. A window between the 4 and 5 o’clock positions shows the date. The polished titanium crown has an engraved Hublot logo and a rubber shock absorber with grooves for better grip. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal that covers the dial is equally sculptural. It not only provides protection, but also creates increased volume and optical distortion. The back cover is also made of sapphire glass, which makes it possible to see the details of the mechanism with your own eyes and adds a touch of originality. The real highlight of the watch is the complex elongated bezel made of Satin-finished and Polished Black Ceramic, secured with 6 immediately recognizable titanium “H” screws with the Hublots signature inscription. The flawless operation of the watch is ensured by the HUB4700 Self-winding Skeleton Chronograph Movement, which contains 31 jewels and has an approximate power reserve of 50 hours. This model is presented on an elegant and comfortable Black Smooth Rubber Strap and Black Ceramic and Black-plated Titanium Deployant Buckle Clasp. Water resistance is up to 100m/330ft (10 ATM).
